Eligibility Criteria of SSC CGL Recruitment
Age Limit: There are four categories of age ranges: 18 to 27 years, 20 to 30 years, 18 to 30 years and 18 to 30 years.
Age Relaxation: Category-wise age relaxation is as mentioned below
# SC/ST: 5 years
# OBC: 3 years
# PwD (Unreserved): 10 years
# PwD (OBC): 13 years

Educational Qualification:
Junior Statistical Officer:
Bachelor’s Degree in any subject from a recognized University or Institute with at least 60% Marks in Mathematics at 12th standard level;
Or
Bachelor’s Degree in any subject with Statistics as one of the subjects at degree level.
Or
Bachelor’s Degree in any subject with Statistics as one of the subjects at degree level.
Statistical Investigator Grade-II:
Bachelor degree in Statistics or Mathematics or Economics or Demography or Population Studies or Operation Research or Information Technology or Computer Science or Computer Engineering or Computer Technology or Computer Application or Data Science or Artificial Intelligence from a recognized University or recognized Institute.
All Other Posts:
Bachelor degree in Statistics or Mathematics or Economics or Demography or Population Studies or Operation Research or Information Technology or Computer Science or Computer Engineering or Computer Technology or Computer Application or Data Science or Artificial Intelligence from a recognized University or recognized Institute.
All Other Posts:
Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized University or Institute.

Scheme of SSC CGL Examination
The Computer Based Examination will be conducted in two tiers as indicated below:
- Tier-I
- Tier-II
Marks scored by candidates in Computer Based Examinations, if conducted in multiple shifts, will be normalized by using the formula published by the Commission. There shall be no provision for re-evaluation/ re-checking of the scores of any stage/ Tier(s) of the examination.
Scheme of Tier-I Examination
The Scheme of Tier-I exam is as mentioned below.
Type of questions: Tier-I will consist of Objective Type, Multiple choice questions. The questions will be set both in English & Hindi except for English Comprehension.
Negative marking: There will be a negative marking of 0.50 for each wrong answer.
Duration of exam: 1 hour (1 hour and 20 minutes for the candidates eligible for scribe as mentioned in the official notification).
Normalization of marks: Marks scored by candidates in Computer Based Examinations, if conducted in multiple shifts, will be normalized by using the formula published by the Commission vide Notice No: 1-1/2018-P&P-I dated 07-02-2019 and such normalized scores will be used to determine final merit and cut-off marks.

Scheme of Tier-II Examination
Tier-II will include conducting of Paper-I & Paper-II in separate shift(s)/ day(s).
# Paper-I is compulsory for all the posts.
# Paper-II will be for only those candidates who apply for the posts of Junior Statistical Officer (JSO) in the Ministry of Statistics and Programme Implementation and Statistical Investigator Grade-II in the office of Registrar General of India (M/o Home Affairs) and who are shortlisted in Tier-I for these Posts.
