Intelligence Bureau (IB) has released an employment notification for the recruitment of 677 Security Assistant/ Motor Transport (SA/MT) and Multi-Tasking Staff/ General (MTS/Gen) posts in the Subsidiary Intelligence Bureaux, (Ministry of Home Affairs), Government of India. 1. Security Assistant/ Motor Transport

No of posts: 362 posts [Guwahati: 10 posts]

Category-wise vacancy:

# UR: 221

# OBC/NCL: 60

# SC: 34

# ST: 30

# EWS: 17

Pay: Level-3 (Rs. 21,700-69,100) in the pay matrix plus admissible Central Govt. allowances.

Age Limit: Candidate age must not exceed 27 years as on closing date .

Essential Qualification:

(i) Matriculation (10th class pass) or equivalent from a recognized Board of Education, and

(ii) Possession of domicile certificate of that State against which candidate has applied.

Other Criteria:

(i) Possession of valid driving license for Motor Cars (LMV) issued by the competent authority;

(ii) Knowledge of Motor Mechanism (The candidate should be able to remove minor defects in the vehicle), and

(iii)Experience of driving a Motor Car for at least one year after obtaining valid driving license.

2. Multi-Tasking Staff/ General (MTS/Gen)

Pay: Level-1 (Rs. 18,000-56,900) in the pay matrix plus admissible Central Govt. allowances.

(i) Matriculation (10th class pass) or equivalent from a recognized Board of Education, and

(ii) Possession of domicile certificate of that State against which candidate has applied.

Selection Process of IB Recruitment

The selection process of Intelligence Bureau Security Assistant & MTS posts consists of following stages.

# The category-wise cut-off marks (out of 100) in Tier-I Exam would be as follows:

Category	Cut-off Marks

SC/ST	33

# For the post of SA/MT, the merit list will be prepared on the basis of combined performance in Tier-I & Tier-II Exams.

# For the post of MTS/Gen, the merit list will be prepared on the basis of performance in Tier-I Exam alone, provided the candidate is qualified in Tier-II Exam.
