Central Selection Board (CSB), Bodoland Territorial Council (BTC), Kokrajhar, Assam has released an advertisement for the recruitment of 157 Forester & Forest Guard Posts under Forest Department, BTC . Interested and eligible candidates may apply online for these posts.
BTC Kokrajhar Recruitment 2026
1. Forester - I
No of posts: 47 posts
Scale of pay: P.B-2 ₹14,000 – ₹49,000 and GP: ₹6,200
Educational Qualification: Candidates must be a graduate in any discipline from a recognised institution or equivalent.
2. Forest Guard
No of posts: 110 posts
Scale of pay: P.B-2 ₹14,000 – ₹49,000 and GP: ₹5,600
Educational Qualification: Candidates must be minimum HS / 10+2 exam passed or equivalent.

Other Criteria of BTR Recruitment
Residence-ship: Candidates must be resident of Bodoland Territorial Council (BTC) area. Candidates belonging to newly added 60 villages from Biswanath and Sonitpur districts under BTC’s Udalguri District under BTC area are also eligible to apply for above mentioned posts.
Employment Exchange Registration: The candidate must have registered their names in any employment exchange of Assam.
Age Limit: A candidate must not be less than 18 years of age and not more than 40 years as on 1st January 2026.
Age Relaxation: The Category-wise age relaxation for different categories are as mentioned below:
# OBC/ MOBC: 3 years
# SC/ST(P)/ST(H): 5 years

Medical Standards:
a) Candidates must not have squint eyes and should possess high colour vision.
b) The distant vision should be at least 6/6 for one eye and not poorer than 6/9 for the other without correction. Near vision should be normal for both these posts.

Documents to be Upload
Following documents are to be uploaded along with online application form.
1. All educational testimonials/certificates/ marksheets in support educational qualifications.
2. Age proof certificate.
3. A permanent BTC residential certificate from competent authority in respect of general category candidates and caste certificate need to be uploaded in case of SC/ ST/ OBC/ MOBC category candidates.
4. Candidates belonging to 60 nos. of newly added villages are to upload any one of Aadhaar Card/ Voter ID/ Caste certificate including PRC from respective circle officer.
5. Recent passport size photograph of 20 to 100 KB and signature of 10 to 50 KB in .jpg/ .jpeg format.

Selection Process
The selection process of BTC Forester & Forest Guard Recruitment 2026 consists of following three (3) stages.
Physical Test: The physical test comprises of 26 KM walking for male and 16 KM walking for female candidates to be completed within 4 hours. This will be followed by a medical examination.
Written Examination: A 100 marks test of multiple choice answers with 3 hours duration will be held. There is no negative marking.
Viva-Voce: All qualified candidates in the written examination will have to appear in a viva-voce test of 20 marks.
