Eligibility Criteria for GU PG Admission
Here is the eligibility criteria for admission into various post graduate courses under Gauhati University.
MA and MSc Courses:
# B.A/B.Sc./B.Com. (in 10+2+3 pattern) with Major/honours courses in the concerned subject or
# B.A./B.Sc./B.Com. (in 10+2+3 pattern) with a general pass course with at least 45% Marks in the concerned subject as well as in aggregate or equivalent CGPA.
MCom Course:
# B.A/B.Sc./B.Com. (in 10+2+3 pattern) with Major/honours courses in the concerned subject or
# B.A./B.Sc./B.Com. (in 10+2+3 pattern) with a general pass course with at least 45% Marks in the concerned subject as well as in aggregate or equivalent CGPA.
# 45% Marks is to be calculated on the basis of marks obtained in Part I and Part II of the (2+1) pattern and part I, part II and Part III of the (1+1+1) pattern .

GU PG Common Entrance Test
There will be a Common Entrance Test for admission into different Post Graduate Courses to be conducted by Gauhati University (both for the University Departments and the Affiliated Colleges of the University) for the session 2022-23. Admissions will be based strictly on the performance and eligibility criteria of the Entrance Examination.
The Offline Entrance Test will be conducted in the month of 19th July to 21st July 2022.
