Pay & Allowances:
 During the initial training period, a stipend of ₹ 14,600/- per month will be admissible. On successful completion of initial training, they will be placed in Level 3 of the Defence Pay Matrix (₹ 21,700- ₹ 69,100). In addition, they will be paid MSP @ ₹ 5200/- per month plus DA (as applicable) plus ‘X’ Group pay {only for Artificer Apprentice (AA)} @ ₹ 3600/- per month plus DA (as applicable) as under trainee and ₹ 6200/- per month plus DA on successful completion of AICTE recognized Diploma Course.

Eligibility Criteria of Indian Navy Sailor Recruitment


Martial Status:
 Only male unmarried candidates are eligible for these sailor vacancy of Indian Navy. 
 
Educational Qualification: 
 
(a) AA: Qualified in 10+2 examination with 60% or more marks in aggregate with Maths & Physics and at least one of these subjects:- Chemistry/Biology/Computer Science from the Boards of School Education recognised by Ministry of Education, Govt. of India.

(b) SSR: Qualified in 10+2 examination with Maths & Physics and atleast one of these subjects: - Chemistry/Biology/Computer Science from the Boards of School Education recognised by 
Ministry of Education, Govt. of India.

Age Limit: Candidates should be born between 01 August 2002 to 31 Jul 2005 (Both dates inclusive).

Selection Process of Indian Navy Sailor Recruitment

 
Shortlisting of candidates would be based on aggregate percentage obtained in Physics, Mathematics and at least one of these subjects- Chemistry/ Biology/ Computer Science in the qualifying examination (10+2). Shortlisting will be carried out state wise in a ratio of four times the number of vacancies. 
 
The cut off marks may vary from state to state as vacancies have been allocated in a state-wise manner. The shortlisted candidates would be issued call-up letter for written examination and PFT.

Written Examination

The details of the written examination to be conducted to select the eligible candidates for this recruitment is as mentioned below.

Medium of Exam: 
The question paper will be bilingual - ​​Hindi and English.

Type of Question: The questions will be of objective type.

Syllabus: The question paper consists of four sections i.e. English, Science & Mathematics and General Knowledge. All questions will be 12th level questions.

Duration of Exam:
 The duration of the AA & SSR examination will be of one hour.

Maximum Marks: The maximum marks of the said exam will be 100 marks.

Physical Fitness Test (PFT)

Qualifying in Physical Fitness Test is mandatory for selection. The details of PFT is as mentioned below.

Running: Candidates will have to complete 1.6 Km race within 7 minutes.

Squat and Push-ups: Candidates will have to complete 20 squats (Uthak Baithak) and 10 push-ups.
